ESP Baseball & Softball Training is proud to announce that Coach Matt Kelliher has been named the Head Coach of the ESP 13U Black Team for the upcoming season.
Entering his fourth year of coaching with ESP, Coach Kelliher brings a wealth of playing experience, coaching knowledge, and a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field. He currently serves as the Head Coach of the ESP Select White 17U team and has demonstrated a strong commitment to player development, competitive excellence, and fostering a positive team culture.
Coach Kelliher's collegiate playing career began at Joliet Junior College, where he helped lead the Wolves to the NJCAA Division III World Series. He then continued his baseball career at Mount Mercy University, pitching during his junior and senior seasons. During the 2026 season, Matt made 13 appearances and posted an impressive 2.08 ERA, helping the Mustangs capture the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Championship. Over the course of his collegiate career, he logged more than 125 innings pitched while competing at a high level. Matt earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Mount Mercy University.
As a coach, Matt places a strong emphasis on attitude, effort, accountability, and continuous improvement. He is dedicated to creating a positive and competitive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, compete at their highest level, and cultivate a lifelong love for the game.
